Idea to Feature: Boost Your Teaching Assessments with Rich Media

December 3, 2013 Peter Baron

Back in October, we put out a call on the blog asking schools to sign up for an Early Adopter Program (EAP) for onCampus’ new Assessments feature.

Less than two months later and with teachers at more than 20 schools using Assessments, we’re thrilled to hear the early reviews:

“I’m really loving these online assessments. I’m using them almost every day in class now. It’s a great way to reinforce topics that I need to have the kids know, and it’s pretty easy to have them take the same quiz multiple times.”
– Jake Spirek, Alma Heights Christian Schools

Great feedback, no doubt, but the true reason for the EAP is to hear your ideas on how we can improve Assessments before we make it widely available. And to that end, your input has been invaluable.

In fact, one particular piece of feedback has already made its way into the feature — embedding media into an Assessment.

In today’s Idea to Feature, Jackie Christensen, Product Owner for onCampus, shares how teachers can not only embed media from third party sites like Youtube, but they can upload images to their Assessments as well. And, later in the month, we’ll expand their list of options to include audio files.
