Why Admission Data’s So Important to Word of Mouth Marketing

November 7, 2013 Peter Baron

There’s little doubt that the majority of families who enroll at your school come to you via word of mouth. I remember sitting in a conference session a few years back when a highly accomplished marketing consultant said (and I paraphrase):

“75% of our families are going to arrive at our front door regardless of how we market our school. We spend the majority of our time and dollars recruiting that last 25%”

That comment never left me and, over the years, it’s made me curious about how schools can use their existing admission data to not only boost their word of mouth marketing (WOM), but make it more targeted and efficient.

That brings us to the webinar above (presentation slides are below) — Why Admission Data’s So Important to Word of Mouth with Rick Newberry.

If you’re not familiar with Rick, he’s the President of Enrollment Catalyst, a consulting practice that works with schools on enrollment strategies.

Rick’s a leader in Word of Mouth Marketing making him the ideal speaker to explore the overlap of data and your WOM outreach. Our thanks to Rick for offering his expertise.
