For the past few months, we’ve been in Early Adopter Program (EAP) mode with onCampus Assessments. We want to give a big thanks to the more than 30 schools who participated in the program. Their focused feedback has been invaluable.
In our latest Idea to Feature, Jackie Christensen, Product Owner for onCampus, is excited to announce that a release date has been set for Assessments. In order to minimize midyear disruption, we’ve decided to release Assessments to all Full Edition onCampus schools as part of the June 11, 2014 release.
If your Teachers just cannot wait and want to start incorporating the feature into their classes right away, simply fill out the form below. Jackie will reach out to coordinate an early install date with you.
Want to see the latest improvements to Assessments? In the video, Jackie dives into two enhancements that point right back to EAP feedback.
First up, teachers now have the ability to go to a student’s Results page and add an individual comment to each answer. This is great if a teacher wants to provide feedback, especially on essay based questions.
Second, right from the Results page, teachers can give individual students the option to retake an Assessment.
Jake Spirek, Alma Heights Christian Schools, shared how he uses the Retake option to creatively assess student work in the webinar he and his colleague, Liz Langworthy, gave earlier this month (5 Creative Ways to Assess Your Students’ Work Using an LMS). I encourage you to check it out to learn other approaches to assessing student work using onCampus.
