Five Ah-Inspiring Reasons Why You Should Attend The 2016 K-12 User Conference

June 1, 2016 Mark Christensen

Ah, summer. It’s about here! And that means the Blackbaud K–12 User Conference! If you haven’t already purchased a ticket, or you need a little extra motivation to spend a few fun days in Boston with us, we put together a few reasons why you should attend!

#1 Product training just for you.

Take advantage of a full day devoted to Product Training. Our product training sessions are designed just for you with scenario based hands-on learning, a range of K–12 product-specific tracks to fit your needs, and core sessions applicable to all “ON” product users.

We’re thrilled to have Smart Tuition now part of the Blackbaud family, and we put together lots of tracks for you to see what they have to offer private schools. We have all your training needs covered! From Raiser’s Edge NXT, Financial Edge NXT, Smart Tuition, and the “ON” products you’ll have plenty to discover!

#2 Learn from your peers.

Spend the day learning Best Practices from the experts. We’ve created a series of sessions and put together the best lineup of speakers to benefit you. Tap into the collective product and industry expertise, peek “behind the password” to see what other schools are doing and learn how to avoid common stumbling blocks.

Network like it’s going out of style. Meet other private schools that are doing cool things with our products and make connections that’ll help you beyond the conference. You can kick start your new friendships at the opening reception, in the exhibitor hall, and organize a group dinner outing in the fantastic city of Boston!

#3 Create your own.

Learn from each other as you share with your colleagues during the Unconference sessions.

This has become one of the many highlights of past K–12 User Conferences. A wonderful opportunity for attendees to create their own Unconference sessions, bounce ideas off each other, and take a deep dive into the topics that matter most to them. You will be inspired.

#4 Boost your knowledge.

For the first time, you can earn Professional Credits for attending qualifying sessions. Letters or certificates of completion are available upon successfully completing a class. No advanced preparation is required and no pre-requisites needed. Select a session, learn, and walk away with continuing ed credits. Brilliant!

#5 Meet the team behind the magic (of Blackbaud K–12).

Here’s your chance to chat with the team members at Blackbaud. Want to meet our product management team or leadership executives? They’ll be there. Want to talk to the marketing team and sales teams? They’ll be there. Want to request a special feature from the dev team? They’ll be there (no promises on how fast we can churn out a new request, though).

We know how important it is for our users to get the most out of the K–12 User Conference experience, so you’ll be able to schedule one-on-one appointments with our awesome Blackbaud support team for two days throughout the conference. Connecting with any Blackbaud K–12 team member is like a celebrity meet and greet just without any actual celebrities. Still fun, though!

If you’ve been to one of our K–12 User Conferences, you know how wonderful the opportunities are to learn, network, brainstorm, and spend quality time with your private school colleagues.

And if not, let this year be your year. Registration is now open!
