Blackbaud All Star Teacher Thank You Graphic

It’s Teacher Appreciation Week! A time to recognize all of the wonderful people who devote their careers (not to mention their personal time) to challenging and inspiring our youth. We realize that teaching is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor, each classroom is filled with individual learners, and in our minds, all teachers are all stars for your skill, dedication, guidance, and patience. We can’t #ThankATeacher enough!

To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, we’re taking this opportunity to show our gratitude by honoring five teachers from Blackbaud K-12 schools who have excelled this past year at incorporating our learning management system (LMS) tools into their classrooms. We’re awarding the top teachers in each of the following categories with a $500 Amazon gift card.

A new recipient will be announced every day this week, so please check regularly to see if someone from your school has been named a Blackbaud All-Star Teacher.

Monday: Assignments Without Rubrics

Thank you, Linda Muessen of Heritage Christian School in Woodbridge, Virginia. Linda has been an educator for 25 years, many of them in the elementary grades, and for the past 12 years has taught sixth grade at Heritage. This was Linda’s first year using our LMS tools, and she became a Blackbaud All-Star Teacher by creating a whopping 2001 assignments. Linda, you rock!

Tuesday: Assignments With Rubrics

Thank you, Andrea Cordovez of FlexSchool in Connecticut and New Jersey. A native of Ecuador, Andrea has devoted her career to working with children and adults with disabilities as well as aging adults; she also helped develop a grief program for the Latino community in the San Francisco Bay Area. Andrea is pretty awesome in our book for all the work she has done, but she was named a Blackbaud All-Star Teacher for creating 147 assignments with associated rubrics.

Wednesday: Assessments

Thank you, Maria Lantz of Salesianum School in Wilmington, Delaware. A World History teacher who has been engaging young minds for eight years, three at Salesianum, Maria has earned the Blackbaud All-Star Teacher recognition for posting 341 Assessments in our LMS so far this year. Maria, you also rock!
