It’s open house season! We’re right in the middle of that busy stretch of the admission calendar when schools across the country are welcoming prospective students to their campuses.
It’s a critical point in the admission funnel — I can’t tell you how many times admission officers have told me that if they can just get a family to campus, they know their chances of yielding that student increases significantly.
Understanding this, a thread on our Blackbaud K-12 Community site caught my attention. How can a school “best leverage onBoard for our Open House?”
People chimed in and suggested promoting the parent experience with a “test account,” creating an event specific inquiry form that families who skipped the registration process can fill out when they arrive, and using official notes for documentation purposes.
