It's fine if all of the items from the first step don't make it to the list; if you can't attach a specific goal to a strategy or tactic, it's probably not worth pursuing. 3 Using the goals you've defined, circle your top three to four projects for the year—the projects that will make the biggest impact—and write them below. STRATEGY/TACTIC GOAL Congratulations! You now have a fresh, doable list of marketing projects that will help you move forward with your communications goals. Now what? 4 For each strategy or tactic, write down the three next steps you'll need to take for each, and any resources or investment required.
