So often, school marketers and communicators are required to constantly address present and pressing needs—so stepping away from the to-do list to simply dream becomes really difficult. Well, consider this your permission to get creative. The end of the calendar year is the perfect time to step back and think deeply and broadly about the ways we're communicating—and the goals we're trying to achieve. Use this worksheet to brainstorm some big goals for the new year and figure out how you can make those grand ideas come to fruition. 1 Write down all the marketing strategies and tactics you would love to try out—if you had the time and resources to do so. You may want to do a little research here: Think about strategies you've seen used by other schools or even brands outside of the education space. Also, consider your current communications: What's working? What's not working? Where do you want to improve?
