St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School in Oakville, Ontario, is focused on the unique learning needs of girls from preschool to graduation. The school was looking for a single technology solution with one login and one experience. Greg Baschuk, director of information technology at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn, understood the value of having the whole school connected, which led him to choose Blackbaud's "ON" products. We were coming from a multi-system environment that had no integration between the various databases. The "ON" products replaced most of these systems and gave us the integration we were looking for. With the responsiveness of our new onMessage site, we can be seen on any device. It looks fresh. Also, the ability to incorporate the payment gateway is online too. Now we can safely say that we don't store credit card information because Blackbaud stores it for us. People can make donations and gifts right online. We no longer need to call in a credit card number. ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: INCREASED ACCURACY WITH ONLINE APPLICATION "We are moving away from a paper-based system.The big win for us is onBoard's online application. When a new student would fill out a paper application before, that paper would be photocopied and handed to a number of people in several offices. Mistakes would happen. For example, one person would manually enter "Main St" while another would enter "Main Street" into their systems. With the online application, these offices no longer need to type in manually. No more mistakes. Being online in one system makes it consistent. I think it's great."
