Grab your joe and meet up with the K–12 UC sponsors in the networking area for Coffee Break with Sponsors! You can also schedule 1:1 meetings with sponsors anytime in the UC Marketplace. 11:00–11:30 a.m. ET
Mathematician, author, NOVA Host and TED Talk-er Talithia Williams will share her unique story of using data-driven agency for social good. 11:30 a.m. –12:00 p.m. ET
Educational reform thought leaders Homa Tavangar and Will Richardson will be discussing “five key contexts for designing post-pandemic classrooms.” 12:15–1:00 p.m. ET
Renowned Epidemiologist and COVID-19 Expert Dr. Michael Osterholm shares his deep knowledge of the COVID-19 pandemic and perspective on K–12 schools reopening in the fall. 1:15–2:00 p.m. ET
Author, teacher, and NYT columnist Jessica Lahey will be discussing how to best foster resilience through education as well as the implications this may have for the future of education. 2:15–3:00 p.m. ET
Networking
Be sure to update your profile to take advantage of the networking capabilities in the platform, including coffee break with Sponsors and the happy hour discussions. If you haven’t agreed to share your info for networking, log in to modify your registration here or email us at k12conference@blackbaud.com. Navigate to the networking area to search for colleagues from others schools, or use the innovative matchmaking capabilities in the platform to find other attendees with similar interests. This feature will remain live tomorrow, July 10, until 2:00 p.m. ET to allow for more meetings and additional scheduled conversations.
Happy Hour
Following the sessions, the virtual bar will be open for the UC Happy Hour. Be sure to reserve a spot using the Networking link. Discussion topics include Admissions, Academics, Business Office, and Head of School, as well as scheduling, online teaching, hybrid school planning, and mastery and project-based learning just to name a few!
The K–12 UC Virtual platform will remain active through August 10, 2020. Most of the live content will be recorded and remain available for viewing, including sponsor presentations. Networking and meeting scheduler functionality will be available through July 10, 2020.
